Hudson Public Schools Suitability Information
The Hudson Public Schools is required by law to conduct a state and national fingerprint criminal background check of all current and prospective school employees, who may have direct and unmonitored contact with children. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal records check (CORI) and fingerprints.
All Employee fingerprint results MUST be completed and received by the Human Resources Department before employment can begin.
What are the National Criminal Background Check Regulations?
- On January 10, 2013, Governor Patrick signed into law H. 4307, An act relative to background checks. The new law requires all public school employees in Massachusetts to submit to fingerprint-based state and national criminal background checks. Pursuant to regulation 603 CMR 51.00 school employers shall secure national criminal history checks before finalizing an offer of employment.
