I grew up in Bolton and moved to Hudson when we were starting our family. Hudson interested my husband and I because we wanted to raise our children in a diverse community. Each of our children were fortunate enough to spend 2 years enrolled in the integrated preschool program here in Hudson. Now we’re very proud to say they are in kindergarten and first grade as part of the dual language immersion program at Farley Elementary School. I am an active part of Farley’s Home and School Association as well as a member of the Farley School Council. I was part of the Hudson Superintendent Screening Committee in 2023.
When I’m not at home spending quality time with my family, you can find me in the gym; in my free time I greatly enjoy fitness and staying active. I am a working parent as I work full time for Eli Lilly and Company, a pharmaceutical company, for 17 years. I have my undergraduate degree in psychology and went on to earn my MBA. I also enjoy being active with my family going on hikes, scooter rides on the Hudson Bike Path, and running around on the playgrounds. As a family we love traveling and exploring. I also love taking part in events offered in Hudson – from events offered at the Hudson Public Library to the Citizen’s Academy and Women’s Self Defense classes offered at the Hudson Police Station.

I was born in Seattle and moved a lot growing up: 12 times in 9 states before settling in Hudson shortly after getting married in 1981. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut.
Deciding to focus on family over career, I took time off to raise my four children, homeschooling them at times for 5 to 9 years depending on the child. All four of my children went to Hudson High and graduated from there. As they went back into school I worked as a Kindergarten teacher at a private school andthen I worked for the Town of Hudson as a paraprofessional at Forest Ave for 3 years and Hudson High for 6 years.
Realizing how much I liked working with small groups and students with disabilities, I went back to Framingham State and got my Master’s degreein Special Education. I worked at Marlboro High School for 1.5 years and then I worked at Ayer-Shirley Middle School for 10 years, retiring in June of 2024. so I could help homeschool 3 of my grandchildren.
In my free time, I like to read books and garden in my yard, helping to care for over 50 different flowers, tending our apple trees, cherry trees, strawberries and a large vegetable garden. I am active in my church serving as Mission’s chairman and helping inthe nursery.
